Overview
Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce felt that it needed to provide additional support to business in the Borough in the harder business environment. The Chamber commissioned a review by Alastair Alexander who was subsequently appointed CEO. The key point in that report was that the “shop window” needed to be improved, with a good dose of pizazz added in addition to providing better events and services.
Objective
The Chamber wanted a new look and website that would attract new members and lead to overall growth in membership numbers. The timescale was tight as the new image was wanted by the AGM, less than three months after they were commissioned.
As Chamber Chairman, Chris Wyatt said:
“We realised the Chamber needed to provide more for our members to help them in these difficult times but it was no good presenting events and services on an outdated website”.
Solution
Working with brand specialist Brian Galloway from GallowayCreate, who referred 3mil to Wandsworth Chamber, 3mil designed and built the new site which is a world away from the usual conservative image. The site brings a fresh, clean appearance that delivers all the information Wandsworth businesses look for and makes sure it can be found quickly and easily.
The Results
Within one week there were more applicants than in any month in the previous year.
What the client said...
“The Chamber was delighted to work with 3 mil on the development of the new website and the result has been widely praised by both members and others. It has given a fresh look to the Chamber resulting in a large number of recent applications to join. Additionally, we managed to develop the site in record time thanks to the close cooperation of all those involved.”
