Overview
DDEX is a consortium of leading media companies, music licensing organisations, digital service providers and technical intermediaries, focused on the creation of digital supply chain standards.
Brief
Design and build a new website for DDEX which then extended into giving the brand a facelift and creating a brand identity which could be rolled out throughout all communication. Launched at Midem 2012, the world’s largest music industry trade fair held annually in Cannes, France.
The brand needed to be perceived as modern and contemporary whilst maintaining a professional look and feel that is associated with leading standards organisations. The website brief was to create a site that was easy to navigate and which simplified the process of accessing the relevant standards.
Solution
Working in collaboration with the DDEX team 3mil created a set of 8 parallel arrow graphics. These formed the focal point of the visual identity, the arrows were chosen to emulate the organisation's ethos of all working together side-by-side whilst focusing on the creation of digital supply chain standards.
The website was designed with the user at the forefront. This included an easy ‘I am looking for' search option and an area on the homepage split into specific industries with specific links and information. 3mil built a fully content managed system, including a form builder and a fully editable table building module, allowing the DDEX team to upload the latest information as and when required with ease.
What the Client said:
“3mil made the process of web design and delivery an easy and enjoyable one. They recognised immediately that the site had to satisfy the very wide stakeholder groups that we have in DDEX. They understood immediately the challenges we were trying to meet in the design and delivered excellent solutions which makes the subject of standards development more accessible. I would highly recommend them”.
